"What an incredible idea, supporting the youth financially! I shall commission a piece about you, too. They will need at least 500 words to describe your ample bosom." Joan let out an old lady laugh, akin to how one would imagine a fairytale grandmother to laugh. "We will take over Strixhaven with our elderly rizz, one fanfiction at a time!" The more often these two said the word rizz, the more awkward it sounded. Joan decided that she had soaked in the tub enough for today and slowly made her way out, her robe dripping like a waterfall. "I think I will enjoy some of the slopes now, before I turn any more wrinkly than I already am. Enjoy yourselves, but don't overdo it!"

pav: “Oh, I know!” she gasps. “I’ll see if they take commissions! Or, if not, some other talented writer must!” A very Amanita solution: throw money at it. Money can fix so many things! “You have plenty of ‘rizz,’ dear. Truthfully! A lot of the world just has yet to see it! A shame, I know.” The word rizz sounds incredibly awkward coming out of her mouth.

"I don't think I'm the target audience for that magazine anymore. Quite the conundrum." She spoke thoughtfully, but the smile on her face betrayed her act. If she had to read a magazine, it would be the monthly issue of Stupidly Sexy Wizards or *Wizards acting unwise*. They always had such entertaining articles about illusion spells. Joan leaned back, sinking a little deeper into the tub. "What a shame. I shall accept my fate as a fan and not strive for the status of a muse, then. I simply do not have the rizz, as the kids would say." Joan assumed rizz stood for charisma, but who could really keep up with all the youth words these days?

”A book? No.” She shakes her head. “Perhaps I might turn your search to a publication such as ‘*Cosmopolitan*’ instead” She rolls her eyes.

"Oh my, I have been approaching this all wrong." She gasped, placing both paws on her fuzzy cheeks. "You're saying I should have played hard to get instead of acting like a hare of the evening?" Joan didn't have to play such games ever since she was a teenager. Perhaps this demanded some research into the topic. "Dia, my dear, do you have any books on how to act mysterious and aloof at my age? Surely wearing a perm and a leather jacket won't be enough these days..."

"Oh, Joan. Joan, Joan Joan..." says the bard with a shake of her head. "You really should be a comedian when you finally decide to retire." Everyone knows DILF Tingle only strikes the most unaware and unwilling, sort of like a scrungly cat.

"Yes, you are most correct! Although I wouldn't be opposed to someone else writing about me. I'd simply be honored for any bard to capture my likeness with their artistic endeavors!" Joan's lips formed into a creased smile. She had been the muse of many a past lover, but those times were long behind her now. And who knew how much time she had left to experience the same joys of her younger years? She had to take every opportunity to be remembered by those left behind.

"Are you talking about *DILF Tingle*???" As one of the school's librarians Dia was very well aware of the anonymous fanfiction author who would occasionally write salacious tales about her coworkers. She frequently found students and faculty alike snickering in between the shelves huddled around a phone or tablet and know that meant a new fic had dropped.

"I'd be delighted to share my grandma skills with you, my dear." She used her bunny paws to clean the outside of her droopy ears with a good rub. Ah, that hit the spot! "In return, you will have to teach me a skill of your own. Hm-hm. Yes, perhaps you can teach me more about those so-called fanfictions the kids are crazy about these days! How do I get our bardic youth to write passionate tales about me with a variety of consenting partners?"

As the conversation transitioned into ladies' nights, baking cookies and grandma skills, Frédo settled down into the water a bit deeper, just letting their chatter wash over him. He felt like a stranger who'd stumbled into the wrong campfire, but decided to stay anyway. As his eyes roamed over the women he'd joined, he wondered how he'd gotten himself in a hot tub with an absolute siren, a sweatered scolar and a soaked bunny in a robe.

“Oh, Joan, I would really love that,” she says sincerely. Most of her friends are back home in Waterdeep, and she can only tolerate so much portal travel. “I’m actually trying to improve my baking skills anyways,” she confesses. “Adding grandma skills to my repertoire. I would absolutely love to see what I can learn from such an established grandma.” It’s okay if they’re inappropriate cupcakes. It would be funny to see Mathias eat them, which Amanita knows he would, no questions asked.

"Oh, you two. I must drag you out of your nests more. Life is to be enjoyed, not wasted on work." She wagged her paw at her coworkers, as if to scold them. "We need to have ourselves a ladies night. Baking together and watching soap operas over a glass of wine or five." Joan nodded to herself and pushed up her glasses again. Another excuse to bake inappropriate cupcakes was never a bad thing. She had spent so much time learning how to pipe perfect labia flowers for Mara's 18th birthday party, only for her granddaughter to call it embarrassing. What was an elderly Harengon to do with this skill now? Embarrass her coworkers, of course. And maybe feed a few of them to her tamandua familiar.

”Yes. That’s true. This is very relaxing.” She says in her usual unconvincing monotone voice.

"Free time? Oh, I'm quite the workaholic," she boasts. "Head of the music department, performance classes, composition classes, music theory classes, theater classes, private piano and vocal lessons, event planning for the university... that should get my point across." She can't really judge Dia here. She just used a lot more words to say the same thing: she just works, and then her free time is spent doing what she also does at work. "Oh, but even though we are both chaperoning this little ski trip, as you can see, we are also doing our fair share of relaxing. Isn't that right, Dia?" She's about to put her arm around her in an attempt to flirt, an arm stretched out, but she soon takes it back. She doesn't want wet sweater texture on her skin...

Noting the shift in atmosphere from amicable to politely distant, Frédo smiled disarmingly: "Very smooth consensus here, *no*? So then, what do you like to do with all the time you have saved for yourselves?"

"No, just me. You could call me kind of a lone wolf of sorts..." She crosses her arm over her wet sweater.

It was a logical question to ask. And Amanita will give a perfectly polite answer to one of her least favorite questions in the world. “Oh, no, not me. And I don’t believe Dia here does either, unless she has a secret family I don’t know about.”

He strongly suppressed the smallest pang of irritation at being called out on his age. He had seriously thought to have gotten past that point by now. Respect your elders... He in stead smiled at Joan. "Well, age does not define one's qualities, I would say. But if you'd care to find out, feel free to visit the Gold Lion Inn at some point, I play there on a regular basis. Bring your granddaughter too, if she's up for some fun! So...." His eyes slid back to Amanita and Dia, "Any children of your own?"

"A teacher? Oh my, but you're so young. Practically a baby with that stubble on your face." Joan sat back down next to Dia, making sure her robe is still firmly in place after rigorous cheek pinching activity. Most of her younger coworkers were also more akin to children to her. The kind she would offer snacks to or the ones she would call about her computer getting struck by a virus again. And Frédo looked even younger than them - for human standards, at least. "Where are my manners? I am Joan Shii Take. Like the mushroom. I used to teach the art of dance, but I have left the reigns to the lovely young Sylv and her wonderful creative mind." Of course, she claimed it was due to her retirement plans. But Joan did say she would 'retire this year' just about every year. "I only have one granddaughter." She sounded delighted at the question, always ready to speak about Mara. "She is my precious little cinnamon roll, the brightest nursing student on campus. If only I had my wallet here, I would show you all my pictures of her. Just take my word for it, she is adorable and very smart. Definitely takes after my side of the family."

He couldn't have gotten the grin off his face if he'd wanted to as his cheek was pinched by the softest, wettest bunny hands. A new experience gained! He had grown up in a culture that respected their women, their elders and he had grown up in an inn. Being silly, sociable and playful with everybody was in his blood. His flirty attitude was just another extension of it. "Actually, I am not a student," he explained as to her previous remark on keeping her bosom covered. "Not yet, anyway. My name is Frédo..." He introduced himself to the Harengon as well. "I am figuring out how this world works. Maybe I'll end up teaching. That is, of course..." He nodded again to the barely covered Amanita next to him, "only if I meet up to the standards." He settled himself back down into the warm water more comfortably, feeling like him and his different bodyparts had been in the centre of attention quite enough for a bit. "Do you have many grandchildren?"

Joan would never miss out on a prime opportunity to treat the students like they're her grandchildren. She made Frédo lower himself a little before pinching his cheek in an obnoxiously grandmotherly way. "Aren't you just a precious little bun? If only my granddaughter was interested in men, I would have set up a date for you two."

Frédo, who had turned back around when Amanita had finished her inspection, laughed heartily. "Señora, you can pinch my cheeks anyway you wish, no charge," he actually rubbed his hand over his cheek, cleanly shaven.

"It's lovely to see you too, Amanita. My, of course even I could not resist a good soak in the bath." She chuckled behind a fuzzy paw that was now completely wet. As was the long sleeve of her bathrobe. Joan likely weighed twice as much right now with all the wet fabric and fur. "It's a shame there are so many students around, I would have loved to test out my string bikini." Joan eyed the tattooed young man while pushing up her glasses. "No offense to you, dearie. Your presence is lovely, but I'd rather pinch your cheeks with my bosom concealed." The harengon was a very curvy lady, after all. She was "breasting boobily" underneath her usual cardigans and robes, as the kids would say.

Dia nods at Joan, who has opted to remain dressed in the hot tub as well. “You get it.”

The story only makes the artwork adorning Fredo’s back that much more breathtaking. She is silent for a few moments, appreciating it in a new light. “Splendid,” she sighs. “What a lovely tribute to your teacher and your love of the craft. Thank you for sharing that with me.” Amanita has no problem being perceived as a cougar. She loves cats, big and small. And Fredo doesn’t seem to be a student, because if he were, she would already know of him. He simply remains eye candy for now, because her attention is soon pulled away to a third GILF being added to the tub. “Joan, my dear! How wonderful is it that you’ve joined us!” she greets fondly. “I have always wondered if those covered in fur could enjoys these hot tubs. I guess you’ve answered the question for me just by virtue of your being here.” Amanita now wonders if she is underdressed. Nah… it’s the other GILFs who are the weird ones.

A harengon woman decided to join their tub and he nodded politely at her. Apparently, bathing in hot water while fully dressed was a common occurence here. His attention was still at Amanita's question though. "The music is the song that she sang on the first night I saw her. She captured me so badly, all I wanted was to be taught how to do the same."

Everyone's favorite Harengon grandma decided to enjoy a little soak in the hot tubs before they got too full later. Too bad that she was late and the whole area was filled with frat bros practicing social distancing. Now she would have to keep her clothes on. Joan spotted two familiar staff members and decided to join them. Keeping on her very colorful bathrobe, she entered the water and cast a spell to stop her glasses from fogging up. Now there were two fully dressed gilfs bathing next to a nearly nude one inspecting some young man's tattoo. Was Amanita what the youngins called a "cougar"?

Somewhere in the background a group of loud frat bros laugh and joke while they run towards one of the other hot tubs. They wouldn't dare to interrupt the head of the music department, the angry librarian and whoever that guy is. They may be frat bros, and they may be loud, but they are otherwise respectful as they jump into a pool and splash water at each other. They're all 5ft apart, so as not to give anyone the wrong idea.

"Sadly, I don't have any," she replies, thought she doesn't really sound sad about that. "But maybe you could make a good case for and old woman like me to finally get one? Might be a fun way to enjoy my midlife crisis." Amanita is, as always, being a bit dramatic. She's a half-drow who is only 71. She moves closer to examine it, and she swears she can almost hear the melody written on the sheet music. Without her glasses, her face is actually quite close to Fredo's back in order to take in all of the tiny details. "I bet this really hurt to get. You must be a very patient man who is good at holding still," she says, reaching out a hand to touch it before taking it back. Touching without permission would be pretty rude! "I know this has a story behind it, and I love a good story."

He raised an amused eyebrow at her demanding tone. "Are you going to show me the ones you have hidden somewhere under there, too?" He jokingly asked, nodding toward the approximately one square inch of fabric she was wearing. It was quite literally impossible to not admire her shape. Also quite impossible to avoid glancing every now and then. He tried, truly, but he was only human. Also, this particular woman did not strike him as the type to be particularly bothered by an occasional glance. Unlike the one in the sweater. He did oblige and turned around, to give his new aquaintances a chance to have a look at the piece of art on his back.

Pfft… Freddie Mercury. Amanita keeps a straight face, instead bowing her head a little in acknowledgment of the introduction. “Oh? Well the trip has just begun. I’m sure you’ll find plenty of opportunities to make a fool of yourself.” With a smirk, she points her index finger up and spins it in circles. “But enough about that. Can you turn around for me? I want to look at your tattoo.”

"Oh, but there isn't anything to be shy about, I would say, *no*?" Frédo flashed a smile at the woman soon to be introduced as Dia. His eyes and attention, however, were mostly drawn by Amanita. Her voice and demeanor were... captivating. The head of the music department... That rang a bell. He'd heard of her somewhere in passing. He let her words tumble over him, before giving a slight nod and replying. "Professor Amanita, I am aware of who you are! Lady Dia i have unfortunately not heard of yet. Un placer conocerte, A pleasure to meat you. My name is Frédo di Mercúri. From what I heard, my name is strangely similar to one of your musical legends, *no*? I uhm... how do I put this... " he thought for a bit, searching for words. "I was accidentally brought here by a friend of mine, who is a student. She also bullied me into coming on this trip, hoping I would faceplant into the snow, but I managed to escape that fate for another couple of hours."

Dia waves quietly and awkwardly. If this man was a student there was absolutely no way she was taking the sweater off.

"Not at all!" she says with a smile. "My friend is just shy. Not to worry, I'm making it my goal to get her to take that silly sweater off by the end of the day." But it's kind of cold. Why isn't she in the tub yet? Time to fix that. She lets out a happy little sigh as she sinks into the warm water. "That's a very lovely tattoo, my friend," she says, way too impatient and nosy to ignore it. "It must have a story behind it! Oh, but I'm being rude. We need introductions first and stories later." "We're both staff at Strixhaven. I'm one of the professors in Prismari, Amanita. I'm the head of the music department." Then she points at the strange woman wearing a sweater in a hot tub. "And that over there is Dia! She's one of our lovely librarians. Now, it's your turn!"

[perception 18 +5] He caught part of their conversation and opened his eyes. "Oh, please... don't wait on my behalf, I..." He couldn't help but frown in slight confusion as he noticed one of the women wearing a sweater, whereas the other wore... strategically placed bits of fabric would describe that swimsuit best. Not that he disapproved. He sat up, rather than lounging backwards in the water. "I am sorry, was I interrupting?"

She just pouts dramatically, complete with a little "hmph!" "He looks harmless!" she counters. "Ooooh, and he has a nice tattoo..." A fellow bard? And I haven't seen him around before?

”Hmm, perhaps…” Dia stands up, the wet heavy sweater clinging to her body, she starts to take it off lifting it to about her midriff… evidently she’s wearing a two piece… before she hears the door to area creak open, prompting her to drop the hem of the sweater again and sink back into the water. “Look, now there’s a guy over there… Nice try Amanita, but I guess you’ll have to wait.” She crosses her arms again.

After dropping off his recently purchased backpack in one of the rooms, there was only one thing Frédo had wanted: a very hot bath. Nissa's enthusiasm about tubing and snow be damned, he had missed hot baths. His attic didn't have any and even though the Gold Lion Inn had a bathroom with a decent shower, there was just something about soaking in hot water that could not be beat. He opened the door into the large area, hearing at least two female voices already inside. Stepping in, Frédo dropped his towel on one of the hooks near the door and with no further ado, lowered himself inside the hot water, dunking his head under before rising again and sighing blissfully. -# His 6'2" form is spindly but fit, built for agility rather than strength. His entire back is decorated by an elaborate tattoo of a lute, surrounded by ribbons of sheet-music and other musical references. -# perception 18: ||Looking closely, one can spot a mass of scars scattered all over his back, covered up by the tattoo very decently||

She looks around. There are indeed people milling about. Some might be looking over at them now that she's in a swimsuit. But who cares? "But is that not... uncomfortable?" she wonders aloud. "It must feel really heavy. Why not take it off? It's just you and me!" For now...

”No.” She narrows her eyes. “I have one on underneath the sweater…” She crosses her arms. “But I don’t want just anyone to see me in it. What if there’s creeps around?” She shakes her head.

Amanita has functioning eyes and sees Dia wearing a knit sweater in the hot tub and just starts to laugh. "If anyone was going to be wearing a sweater in a hot tub... it would be you," she scoffs lightheartedly. "Did you forget a swimsuit? I have plenty to spare!" Off comes the robe. She's wearing quite a revealing one piece. Why are there so many cutouts!?

”Ah, hello Amanita.” She glances up to see her colleague and fellow chaperone. “Yes, I am now very tired after ensuring none of our adult students got lost exiting the busses.” She says as monotone as ever, nodding slowly. [Perception 6: ||Yeah, Dia is wearing a knit sweater in the hot tub… fuckin weirdo!||]

The start of a new semester and all of the business that comes a long with it has thoroughly exhausted her. She’s in no mood to slide down giant hills of snow, that’s for sure! So here she is, wearing a little tiny robe because she’s Just Like That, approaching the hot tub when she sees a familiar face. “Miss Dia!” she exclaims. “Fancy meeting you here. Have you been having fun herding around all the excitable little students? I know I have! But gods, I might be getting too old to keep up with all of their energy…” She sticks her finger into the bubbling water to test it out, then smiles happily. Perfect.

Dia has for some reason been roped into chaperoning a ski trip for the students. Why? Who knows? But since she’s here she might as well take advantage of the amenities. This includes the hot tub! It may be as close as she can get to lighting herself on fire…

The lodge is home to a massive hot tub, reminiscent of a natural hot spring. The whole room is hot and humid, a perfect place to relax some sore muscles after a day on the slopes. Or visit the outdoor tubs! Don’t worry—they’re enchanted to stay warm.
